From the Senior Regent, March 2019

This will be my last newsletter to you and then your new Senior Regent will be installed on 4/27/19. I have learned a lot in my year here as the Senior Regent. I have met some great people and made some really great new friends. I want to thank my Board of Officers for a great and fulfilling year. It has been a blast!

I hope that 2019 has had a great start for you. We will probably still have a few more months of cold weather with some rain. Don’t forget, we can still help with dinner on Thursdays and Fridays. Make sure to come on down to the Moose Lodge on Thursday Steak Night or Friday Night for the special. The specials can be found on the calendar enclosed in the newsletter.Dinnerisservedfrom6pm-8pm. Wealsoneed more kids (13-18) to help serve on Thursday and Friday nights. Please contact Cynthia Ussery.
We have been doing a lot at the lodge since the new year. We had our first Karaoke Night. Everyone had a great time. We were asked to bring it back, so we will. We had Bunco on 2/2/19 and Super Bowl on 2/3/19. The Legion hosted the Valentine’s Dinner on 2/9/19. Fun was had by all.

The women and men continue to work together to make sure we have some fun filled activities for the lodge this year. We are doing fundraisers at the Lodge so that we can raise more money for a bigger grill and other kitchen improvements. We still need help with more funds for the kitchen, so if you would like to donate please let me or any board member know.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Please make sure that we all take care of our lodge. For Thursday and Friday night dinners, let’s be patient with the volunteers in the kitchen and with our kid servers. Let’s also make sure that we are picking up after ourselves. We are all volunteers here.

I leave you with these words in my last newsletter: Friends, that which is done is done. Let none depart from this newsletter with anger or resentment in their hearts. Let all go forth with kind thoughts, helpful words, and good deeds for all mankind. Thank you for a great year!!!

Sincerely,
Jodi Bonilla Sr. Regent
