Howdy to all the Pacifica Moose Lodge Members,
As I reflect on the year 2020, we started out laughing and making amazing plans for 2020. So many events, parties, fund raisers in the works. I was looking forward to starting my year as Governor in April; then like a brick wall, it all came to an end. The Coronavirus was here. We all had to shelter in place, and the lodge closed for what we thought would be a couple of weeks. As time went on, we were able to open with limited service. What we could do, we did extremely well. Thanks to all who came out and supported the events and activities we had. We did end the year on a positive High. Our Veterans Day Pancake breakfast was a great success. The Pacifica Fire Dept. Engine 72 Toys for Tots drive was fun and successful. We did not have a New Year’s Party. But I stayed up past midnight just to make sure 2020 was over, DONE!
Now here we are in 2021 and feeling encouraged that life will be better. We will continue to find ways to make the lodge your family center for all to enjoy.
We have so many things to do just to catch up with events we had to cancel or postpone. Once the State and County Health Dept. give us the green light, the Pacifica Moose Lodge 1944 will come to life bigger and better than ever before.
With your support and commitment, we can do this. Volunteers help anyway you can. If you cannot do physical work open your check books and give a little extra. I know 2021 will be a year that we move forward from the dark cloud of 2020. Membership is key to our success. Renew your membership and signup new members. Mooseheart and Mooseheaven really need us more that ever.
The one event that we had to postpone was our 60th Anniversary Party. This was to be an amazing event, just think the Pacifica Moose Lodge 1944 has been serving the community of Pacifica for 60 YEARS, now that is amazing.
Be assured we are going to celebrate this milestone, we may be a year late, but we will celebrate.
Moving forward please do your part and wear a mask, wash your hands, and follow social distancing. Being a Loyal Order of Moose is an honor to serve the community. The year we will be ONE MOOSE!
Fraternally Yours
Leonard Iniguez
Governor 2020-2021
One and Fun!!!
