Letter from the President, November 2024

Hello all,

The seasons are changing, and so are we at the Moose Lodge. We are gearing up for our Halloween events, Craft Fair, new Legion Breakfast Menu, and don’t forget to sign up for our New Years Eve party. We also want to introduce our new Taco Tuesdays with our $2 drink specials, hosted by your bartender Kelly. Come on down and see him. We want everyone to have a fun and safe Holiday season together.

A lot goes into getting everything ready for these events, like shopping, cooking, decorating, moving table and chairs and cleaning around the Lodge. So let us know how you like how things are going. It will give us the Boost we need to get through the holidays. If you don’t see a volunteer sheet for an event and you want to help, ask around and join some of the fun we have putting these events together.

Since our last news letter, we have had some fun, like our 5th annual Car show here in our own parking lot. Coffee with cars during our Legion Pancake breakfast. We went to Convention September 12th, where Tony Johnson received his Fellowship award of honor. Chris Gigliotti received her Golden Gavel. Ellie Tippet for her College of Regents and myself, Paul Lavorini, for receiving the CNMA Achievement Award . And let’s give Debbie Willers-Blanchard a big congrats for receiving the Pacifica Moose of the Year Award. congratulations to all!

Moving onto October, The Pacifica Moose Lodge hosted the International Soft tip Dart Tournament; this was a three day event and we served breakfast, lunch and dinner to all who came, and the fun and competition was fierce. Congratulations to our very own team “Just the Tip” for taking home our new District 10 bragging rights trophy.

This season can be quite stressful, so when you come to the lodge, relax, have fun and be part of the solution. Together we can do anything. We need your help, and your reward will be a free drink for the first 5 members who can tell me what the Food for Thought is and what is means to you. Your input will help us be a better Lodge for you to enjoy.

Now let’s have some fun and make new memories.

Thank you all, for your support

Fraternally yours,

Paul Lavorini
