From the Senior Regent, July 2022

To my Brothers and Sisters,

Hurray…summer is here!

This is a busy month for the Pacifica Women of the Moose. If you have not bought your fireworks yet, there’s still time to stop at the Lodge’s fireworks booth and make a purchase. Money from the booth sales goes back into the community through the events and organizations that our Lodge/Chapter supports.

The [July 23rd car show] has sold out! I hope to see all of you stop by and check out the classic cars that will be on display. You can also purchase a car show t-shirt, purchase tickets for a raffle and enjoy something delicious to eat.

When was the last time you attended a chapter meeting? Have you ever attended one? Our Chapter meets at [7 PM on the third Tuesday] of each month. The business meeting usually lasts less than an hour and then we enjoy refreshments and an activity. As Ellie Bowen, Junior Pas President, says, “It’s girls’ night out!” In June we played a new game: “What’s on Your Phone?” with winners picking a mystery bag prize. I am hoping to see more of the Chapter’s over three hundred members at the monthly meetings!

The Chapter can use your help. August 27th will be the [outside flea market] fundraiser where members and the public can rent a space to sell unwanted items. We will be busy in October with the children’s [Halloween Carnival] on the 23rd, and October 29th is the annual [“Christmas in October”] craft sale. Anyone interested in volunteering to help at these events, give me a call!

Tell us, we forget. Show us, we remember. Involve us, we understand. Come, get involved in the chapter. See you July 19th!

In Faith, Hope and Charity
